On one of the hottest days of the school year, the temperature wasn’t the only thing soaring. At this event, 50 Economics and Business students from across our schools took part in a fast-paced financial challenge: The Pandemonium Trading Game.

The event gave students a real taste of global markets. Working in mixed teams, they had to think fast, make quick decisions, and negotiate deals to see who could make the most money.

The Pandemonium Trading Game is far from a normal lesson, it replicates the stress and excitement of real-world markets, forcing students to act quickly.

To win, students had to master three key skills:

  • Quick Thinking: Markets change in seconds, so students had to react instantly.

  • Sharp Negotiation: Good communication was the only way to secure the best deals.

  • Handling Pressure: Staying calm under pressure separated the winners from the losers.

The room was full of energy, with a brilliant, lively atmosphere as teams competed to top the leaderboard.

While the goal was to make a profit, the game was really about collaboration. Students were mixed into teams with people from different schools. This meant they had to step out of their comfort zones, meet new people, and learn to work together effectively.

By the time the final trading whistle blew, the room was exhausted but buzzing. The event was a huge success, giving future business leaders a real taste of the working world.

They left the session not just with a better understanding of economics, but with new friends, sharper skills, and great memories.
