Date:     Tuesday 18 March 2025

Time:    17.00 – 18.30

Venue: Radley College

Places: 40 places for OX14 Partners

An assessment centre is a way for an employer to get to know you more than they can in a traditional interview.

They want to see how you interact with other people, work as a team and how you approach tasks and activities.

This event is designed for students interested in pursuing Level 5 and Degree Apprenticeships, which might require participation in an Assessment Centre as part of the recruitment process.

Led by a representative from Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge (ASK) Programme, this workshop provides valuable insights into the use of assessment centres by employers, particularly those for large and competitive schemes.  Students will gain an understanding of what to expect at an assessment centre and have the opportunity to take part in a mock activity that is similar to what they may experience in real life.

As well as a mock activity the workshop covers:

·         What is an assessment centre?

·         Why do employers use them?

·         What to expect if you are invited to an assessment centre.

·         Hints and tips for participating in an assessment centre.

·         What you can do to prepare in advance.

·         Asking for feedback.

·         Reflecting on what you would do differently at a future assessment centre.
