‘A Brixton Tale: the making of this year’s must-see independent film, exploring gentrification in South London’
(Evening Standard)
Recommended age: 15+

A Brixton Tale is screening on Friday November 26th, 7.30pm, at Radley College. This will be followed by a Q&A with Rupert Baynham (writer & producer) and Darragh Carey (Director).

This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone interested in the film and/or the industry as a career, whether it’s writing, producing or directing.

Set in Brixton, the film explores the gentrification and cultural appropriation in South London. Leah, a young white videographer, persuades Benji, a young black man living in Brixton, to become the subject of a video documenting life in gentrified Brixton. However, on the opening night, the edit does not depict the narrative Benji was expecting.
