What happens when you bring 180 students from six different schools together for a day of high energy workshops? You get InspirED, an event designed to develop skills and build the next generation of confident communicators.
The atmosphere was buzzing as students stepped away from their usual classrooms to dive into a day focussed on public speaking, networking, and the power of making new friends.
Hosted by Fitzharrys School, the day was led by the team from Loudspeaker, who traded traditional lectures for honest engagement. Through a blend of personal storytelling and vibrant energy, the speakers built connection and inspired students.
By sharing their own authentic journeys, the Loudspeaker team helped students reflect on their own ‘genuine selves’ proving that the most powerful tool in public speaking isn’t a perfect script, but a sincere voice.
InspirED was far from a quiet event, the venue was packed with:
-
Interactive Sessions: Dynamic workshops that got everyone moving and talking.
-
Fun: From inflatable unicorns to a steady supply of sweets and prizes, the day was designed to keep spirits high and nerves low.
-
New Connections: Students had the opportunity to network across six different schools, forging friendships that didn’t exist that morning. ‘It was energising and makes me want to be more me when around others.’ Student Participant
The feedback from the day was positive and showed real enthusiasm for and enjoyment of the guest speakers and their stories.
This event was a core event in the OX14 Learning Partnership Calendar and aimed to support the core aims of inspire, support and challenge as well as developing key skills.
