A group of over 100 Year 8 students from five of our schools took part  in a dedicated morning of hands-on STEM challenges designed to promote problem solving, communication and teamwork. ChallengED, a highlight of the OX14 Learning partnership events calendar, was hosted by Larkmead School and provided a fun and engaging opportunity for students to work together.

The morning’s activities were delivered by external groups, Space Store and House of Fun with iBrick challenges and tasks designed to develop problem solving skills and collaboration. Students worked creatively to develop their builds and took on different roles within their team throughout the event.

The workshops served as a valuable opportunity for students to engage with STEM concepts out of the classroom  as well as having fun and making friends.

97% of attendees would recommend the day to a friend with students commenting on how much they enjoyed meeting new people and challenging themselves.
